Open to members, friends, family, and the public.

Introduction to Shotguns, Dry Practice

Join us for this informative, hands-on introduction to using shotguns for defense.  Topics will include a discussion of shotgun types, loading and unloading processes, shotgun carry and stance positions, shotgun firing positions, and basic shotgun techniques with an emphasis on handling, close-quarters shooting, and home defense.

ADTA members are encouraged to bring their cased, unloaded shotguns to this event -- several cleared shotguns will also be provided for practice during this seminar, including inert practice guns.

We encourage you to sign up for our Live-Fire event the week following this workshop.

Presented by ADTA member Chad Hiatt.

ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to assist.  If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.  Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.  If you would like to bring a firearm to show to the group, or you would like to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities?  Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help.
