Knife Tactics for Defense - Free Seminar and ADTA Member Meeting

  • Thursday, September 12, 2013
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Brooklake Christian Church, Federal Way
Presented by the ADTA.

ADTA Monthly Membership Meeting
2nd Thursday evening of each month, 7pm
Open to members, friends, family, and the public.

Join ADTA member Wu Chin for a hands-on seminar and activity on knives for self-defense.  What knife to carry as a secondary weapon is much like deciding the right gun to carry.  This month's presentation will be on knife selection, knife carry, and knife deployment.  You will be introduced to various grips, various fighting and defensive positions, footwork, the three basic knife attack techniques, and the meet, pass, and follow cuts along with basic counters.

Blunt folding practice knives and rubber fixed knives will be provided for this session.

We encourage you to bring your own carry knife (or knives) for our evening's show-and-tell portion.

ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to assist.  If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.  Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.  If you would like to bring a firearm to show to the group, or you would like to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities?  Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help.
