Firearm Skill Assessments: Public Agency Standards
presented by ADTA members Mike Van Alstine and Chad Hiatt

All public agencies; federal, state and local; which are authorized to or regularly carry firearms establish minimum levels of firearms safety and skill competence that its employees must regularly demonstrate.  Most of these standards are published as public record, and the standards reflect the experience and preparedness for exceptional circumstances that these agencies expect may sometimes occur.  While we, as private citizens, aren’t regularly exposed to these circumstances in our own daily lives, these published standards give a practical means to assess and refine your own preparedness and proficiency.  Join us for an informative discussion and demonstration of these standards.

Our regular monthly membership meeting also includes updates on ADTA activities, upcoming events, and general club member discussions.  Have a question on your ADTA membership or renewal, or would you like to sign up?  We'll have people able to help you at the end of our regular meeting.
