Event Description:

Pepper Spray: What It Really Is, and How To Use It

In this informative seminar and demonstration (no pepper spray will be discharged), learn how lethal force is a last resort to protect innocent life; having a non-lethal alternative can give you more options to escape a dangerous situation.

  • Pepper spray safety rules.
  • What is pepper spray, and how is it rated?
  • How to effectively discharge pepper spray.
  • How do most people react to being sprayed?
  • What do you need to do after discharging pepper spray?
  • Legal considerations surrounding the use of pepper spray.

Important information:

  • ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to check you in at the door.
  • If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.

  • Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.
  • If you bring a firearm to show to the group, or want to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.
  • Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities? Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help. Just look for our members wearing ADTA hats and shirts.
