Women’s Self-Defense

FREE HANDS-ON WORKSHOP—Open to ADTA members, friends, family, and the public.

Please RSVP to let us know you will be there!

VENUE:  Federal Way Senior Center, Federal Way, Washington.

Event Description:

Join us for an informative, serious, and interactive presentation on how women can maintain an aware and prepared mindset, and the options and escalations of force we have available -- from voice and posture, to basic physical defense, to nonlethal weapons, to contact weapons, to firearms. Ladies, we know what works for men may not work as well for us, but we have our own strengths and abilities to surprise, overcome, and escape threatening situations. A large number of our ADTA members and regular live-fire participants are women -- let's have a real discussion together.

Important information:

  • ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to check you in at the door.

  • If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.

  • Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.

  • If you bring a firearm to show to the group, or want to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

  • Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities? Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help. Just look for our members wearing ADTA hats and shirts.
