Presented by ADTA South:
Moderated group scenarios and discussion

FREE HANDS-ON WORKSHOP—Open to ADTA members, friends, family, and the public.

Please RSVP to let us know you will be there!

VENUE:  Federal Way Senior Center, Federal Way, Washington.

Event Description:

ADTA regularly conducts scenario-based workshops, putting our participants in real situations requiring prompt decisions, with strong opportunities for personal reflection and improvement afterwards. In this workshop, ADTA instructors will present a series of important self-defense concepts you need to understand and know. As a group, with attendees as participants, we’ll walk practical self-defense scenarios, pausing the action for what-ifs, discussions, and what-should-happen-next thoughts from you. Reconstructed from many real situations, you’ll be surprised how quickly an encounter can become a potential self-defense situation, and how quickly your choices can de-escalate it, avoid it, or (when appropriate) cut a path to safety.

Important information:

  • ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to check you in at the door.

  • If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.

  • Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.

  • If you bring a firearm to show to the group, or want to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

  • Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities? Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help. Just look for our members wearing ADTA hats, shirts, or vests.
