VENUE:  West Coast Armory - North, Everett

Please plan on arriving by 5:45pm to check in!

We're excited to be welcomed to the West Coast Armory North live-fire range, 5 minutes from 128th and I-5 in Everett.  ADTA has reserved full use of Bay 3.  This event will be led by ADTA Instructors and managed by ADTA Range Safety Officers.

This event is dynamic and flexible, with exercises tailored to the attendees.  We usually use the first hour of the event for group practice, and reserve the second hour for unique down-range exercises and practice over and above what you can regularly do at the range.

Range exercises we may cover:

  • ADTA shooter + safety participant roles.
  • Technique and accuracy warm-up.
  • Presentation from the holster.
  • Tactical reload / Emergency reloads.
  • Clearing failure-to-fire malfunctions.
  • Introduction to concealment, movement, and multiple targets.

Participants should bring the semi-automatic handgun of their choice, a strong-side muzzle-down holster, at least two magazines, a magazine belt pouch, 100 to 200 rounds of ammunition, appropriate shooting eye and ear protection, and a cap with a bill for additional protection against flying brass cases.  Optional: A small flashlight to use in low/no light drills.  ADTA will provide all other range materials and targets.

You may arrive with your firearm unloaded and cased; event staff will direct you where and when to uncase and transfer your firearm to your holster.

You may arrive with your firearm loaded and holstered, if you have a CPL and normally carry.  Event staff will direct you where and when to unload and reholster your firearm at the start of the event; we run a cold range, with firearms unloaded and holstered until you are on the firing line and instructed to load.

We run a COLD RANGE.

  • Do not touch or handle any gun until you are at the firing line and instructed to load.
  • All guns must be unloaded and holstered or cased unless you are on the firing line.
  • OK to handle and load magazines but do not insert into the gun.
