I see hand-to-hand training as another skill set that we should all have in conjunction with our firearms training. Certain establishments such as bars, Music Concerts, Sports Stadiums, won't allow you to carry a firearm. Federal buildings and Post Offices are also off limits to firearms. If you are in a confrontation in one of these places will you know what to do? Or it could happen in a parking lot at the mall when you're walking to your car or worse yet at home when you hear something go bump in the night. Either way you're gonna have to deal with it. Come to the meeting and we will give you some skills to deal with those kinds of situations.

Be sure to wear some loose clothing that allows freedom of movement. Be prepared for some physical contact as you'll learn to use your natural weapons in "close quarter encounters."  It will be presented in a safe manner so no one gets hurt . . . but you will have fun! :-)

As a side note: The Federal Way ADTA group conducted their Hand-To-Hand Self Defense Clinic on Thursday, Nov 12th. Our event on Dec 30th will be a continuation of the Nov 12th clinic in Federal Way.

This is a free presentation; all materials will be provided. Please RSVP on our Meetup page to let us know you'll be there!

ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to assist.  If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.  Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.  If you would like to bring a firearm to show to the group, or you would like to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities? Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help. Also please check out the ADTA website at http://armeddefense.org We are building our training library in the 'Education' menu on the website. Lot's of good information there.
